2016 Kia Cadenza

The 2016 Kia Cadenza is getting a major overhaul that includes redesigned styling, updated luxury features and a more powerful six speed.

The chassis as well as the engine in the new generation Cadenza are going to remain unchanged from the previous generation, meaning it will still be made out of steel and it will still be front wheel drive. The design on the other hand is likely going to change tremendously and from the looks of it.  It seems that it will borrow extensively from the Sport space concept car which is great because that is one of the better cars we’ve seen this year. A more aggressive front end with slimmer and longer headlights with standard LED included in them as well as big 19 inch rims coupled with high performance tires might make the perfect combination.

Its interior will also get a lot of attention, so it should be able to better compete with most other cars out there. As standard, the 2016 Kia Cadenza is going to receive a lot of equipment such as a 7-inch touch screen which is going to control the infotainment system, the navigation unit as well as the dual zone automatic climate control. Optional extras are going to include dual sunroofs as well as the leather upholstery which is the usual trend these days. It seems that the shooting break model is going to offer even more headroom for the rear passengers as well as almost double the luggage space of the sedan which is no easy feat.

Engine wise, the 2016 Kia Cadenza is going to be available with the same 3.3 liter naturally aspirated V6 which is quite good for a luxury sedan. It will be able to provide up to 293 horsepower and more than 260 lb-ft of torque which even though don’t sound like much these days, it should be more than enough to make this executive sedan move quite fast for its weight. It is expected that it will hit 60 MPH in less than 6.5 seconds and thanks to its 6 speed automatic and standard front wheel drive system it should easily be able to get as much as 25 MPG which would be a 10% improvement over the previous generation mostly thanks to its better tires and a better drag coefficient.
