Kia Plans to Serves up Sweet Treats at SEMA

Yes Kia’s cars are always sweet to look at, savory to test drive and cool to own.  But that’s not what we are talking about.  This year they mean it literally.  They are going to be introducing an ice cream themed Kia Soul EV and a Sedona mobile bar.  Wait a minute.  It’s not just a theme.  It will actually be serving ice cream.

Kia touts its Smitten Ice Cream Soul EV follows its “A Day at the Races” theme for this year’s show.  This vehicle is supposed to bring a “Festive Atmosphere” to mind for a day at the race track, and apparently Kia believes ice cream plays a major role in that.  The frozen treats are from Smitten Ice Cream which uses liquid nitrogen to make preservative-free ice cream to order.  As you can see above, the ice cream truck will have chrome hubcaps, whitewall tires and a teardrop trailer that supports a table.  There’s also PA bullhorns on the roof which plays the melody of “Do Your Ears Hang Low?”

The second is a 2015 Kia Sedona that appears to transform into a bar.  Kia paired with Ballast Point Brewing Company in San Diego.  It appears the van actually opens up and forms a countertop like a bar.  We have few other details on this one except for the aquatic themed wrap on the vehicle itself.
